How to place an order
All Ready to Wear hats are available for immediate sale on a first come first served basis, however some hats may be advertised as made to order and will require several days turn around.
Advertised hats are available to purchase online via PayPal or credit card.
Alternatively payments can also be made through correspondence by credit card or bank transfer (Australian clients only).
As a reference all hats have a unique number situated above the photograph for easy identification eg. #18
When enquiring please include this reference number along with your postal information so I can reply to you via email with the total invoice if required.

Unfortunately international orders (and any oversize custom orders within Australia) will still be subject to an additional shipping charge which will either be included in your quote or forwarded to you separately. This must be paid prior to despatch.

Variations on a theme
Sometimes it is possible to remake one of my hat designs with an alternative colour theme or with different trims and features. This is especially the case with the headband millinery but must always be arranged in advance. Sometimes made to order pieces may be subject to the availability of hat making supplies which is out of my control.
I do my best to colour match hats when requested although this may require extra time to order in specific materials. Please refer all requests via the CONTACT form.
Please note that the mannequin heads used for display/photographic purposes have slightly smaller than average head sizes (and no hair!) so hats may appear larger in this perspective.

Made to order
Lead time will vary for made to order and bespoke hats and I encourage clients to allow for as much time as possible to avoid disappointment (especially during busy periods such as racing carnivals) to enable time for both production and delivery. Hats often take many hours to complete over different stages and cannot always be procured quickly!

How do I wear it?
Whilst certain styles will suit certain faces better than others, the majority of my hats are designed to fit on any sized head and are often envisaged to sit perched on one side of the head. I should not need to know your head measurements for this reason.
All hats come fitted with either a headband, hair comb or elastic to secure to your head. The elastic is designed to sit discretely beneath your hair and to be strong enough to withstand moderate weather conditions.

Please keep your hat inside its box for optimal storage and to not attempt to clean it with liquid.
Unfortunately rainfall is damaging to most of my hats and exposure to water will damage the shape and integrity of your hat at your own expense.
Likewise do not leave your hat in a hot car or exposed to extreme heat as it may warp the materials.
My hats are intricate and handmade and not designed for harsh weather conditions.
Kim Wiebenga does not accept responsibility for any negligence or damage caused after dispatch.

All parcels will be sent via Australia Post with included tracking and optional insurance (at extra cost). Please allow up to one week for domestic handling and longer for international post.
Kim Wiebenga takes no responsibility for any duty fees or taxes associated with the freight of parcels overseas.
